Frame-Invariant Mathematics

This manual is the operational handbook for the framework's epistemic ground and its locked execution protocol. It states the axioms, the status tag taxonomy, and the four-step sequence that every application runs through in order. It then presents the dimensionless math engine that governs the first two steps: the tetrahedral apex, the conic partition, and the topological invariance that makes the whole engine frame-independent.

Everything here is operational. The derivations themselves live in the proofs directory; this page states the results, tags them, and cross-references the derivations.

1 · The epistemic ground

Physical measurement is never conducted from an idealized, disembodied vantage point outside the universe. Every measurement is performed by an embedded observer restricted to a local observational frame. Because the observer cannot step outside phase space to view the system in its entirety, boundary accounting is not an instrumental artifact or an empirical error term. It is an irreducible baseline of physical reality.

To formalize this without relying on observer psychology or instrumental noise models, the framework states the Epistemic Frame Partition Identity as an exact algebraic relation:

\[ I_{\text{known}} + I_{\text{unknown}} = I_{\text{total}}, \]

and enforces Machine-Precision Closure as an absolute partition ratio:

\[ R \equiv \frac{I_{\text{known}} + I_{\text{unknown}}}{I_{\text{total}}} = 1.0000. \]

Iunknown is not a subjective statistical artifact, nor a transient measurement error, nor speculative undiscovered particle physics. It is a physically real, conserved component of the spacetime manifold. Information unresolvable from a given observational origin remains strictly conserved within the trapped interior domain under smooth coordinate transformations.

Variable Physical interpretation Domain boundary
Iknown Accessible / resolved information Interior of observer frame (S₊). Additive numerator component.
Iunknown Inaccessible / trapped information Exterior / trapped domain (S₋). Additive numerator component.
Itotal Total structural information Complete manifold. Denominator normalization constant.
R Machine-precision closure residual Global frame boundary. Identical unity ratio enforcing R ≡ 1.0000.

2 · The locked operational execution protocol

To prevent analytical inversion, sequence errors, or the conflation of pure geometric apertures with empirical claims, all research, data auditing, and field execution follows the same four-step sequence, in order. Every subsequent manual in this section elaborates one portion of it.

Step Action Output Tag
1 Pure geometric initialization Establish the dimensionless invariants: θ = 70.5288°, S₊ = 1/3, S₋ = 2/3, partition ratio 2.000000. No empirical content enters. Derived
2 Empirical boundary pinning Anchor the geometry to measured baselines: aperture, epoch, archive, thermal environment, comoving radii, holographic ceiling. Frame-Conditioned
3 Thermodynamic aperture coupling Apply the calibration that maps the declared frame onto the geometric engine. The Landauer floor, Planck ceiling, and Bekenstein–Hawking capacity enter here. Fitted
4 Operational mode selection Mode A projects across frames. Mode B mines the conserved complement. Both return to measured values in classical language. Derived · Fitted

The four-step lock is the framework's operational spine. A reader with this page open can walk the entire KB in order: Steps 1–2 resolve to manual 03 and the partition proof. Step 3 resolves to manual 04. Step 4 resolves to manual 05 and the experiments.

3 · Status tag taxonomy

Every variable, identity, and parameter in the framework carries one of three explicit status tags. The taxonomy prevents frame-dependent observational artifacts from being mistaken for universal constants, and prevents pure geometry from being confused with empirical curve fitting.

Tag Meaning Examples
Derived Pure unconditioned geometry, trigonometry, or differential identity. Dimensionless, scale-invariant, universally valid. θ = 70.5288°, S₊ = 1/3, S₋ = 2/3, R = 1.0000, P_θ = 1.08308, A_area = √3/4.
Frame-Conditioned Specific instrumental baselines, detector bandpasses, spatial boundaries, and observational epochs. H₀,A = 67.4 km/s/Mpc, L₀ = 13.90 Gly, L₁ = 47.90 Gly, T_CMB = 2.7255 K, I_max = 1.514 × 10⁹³ bits.
Fitted The empirical calibration layer where verified telemetry is mapped onto the geometric engine. Ω_eff = 31.73%, Ω_b = 4.90%, Ω_c = 26.83%, Ω_Λ = 68.27%, η_budget = 0.15442.

4 · The dimensionless conic engine

The engine's base layer is pure geometry. Every value in this section carries Derived status and holds prior to any empirical calibration.

The 1/3 viewer cone and the 2/3 inverse cone

An observer embedded in three-dimensional space, resolving directional information from a single internal apex origin, is bounded by a tetrahedral aperture. The apex angle is

\[ \theta = 2 \arcsin\!\left(\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\right) \approx 70.5288°. \]

This angle partitions the surrounding 4π steradian phase volume into an accessible viewer cone S₊ and its complementary inverse cone S₋:

\[ S_+ = \sin^2\!\left(\frac{\theta}{2}\right) = \frac{1}{3} \approx 33.333\%, \qquad S_- = \cos^2\!\left(\frac{\theta}{2}\right) = \frac{2}{3} \approx 66.667\%. \]

The boundary partition ratio between the two domains is

\[ \frac{S_-}{S_+} = \frac{2/3}{1/3} = 2.000000. \]

The full derivation is in tetrahedral solid-angle partition. The planar invariants embedded in the measurement subspace are Aarea = √3/4 ≈ 0.433013 and Dalign = 1/√2 ≈ 0.707107.

5 · Topological scale invariance

The 1/3 : 2/3 partition is not restricted to rigid Euclidean geometry. It is invariant under arbitrary smooth spatial deformations. Under any orientation-preserving diffeomorphism φ ∈ Diff(M), the Jacobian determinant cancels in the ratio of the two domains, so

\[ \frac{\displaystyle\int_{\phi(S_-)} \omega}{\displaystyle\int_{\phi(S_+)} \omega} = \frac{\int_{S_-} \omega}{\int_{S_+} \omega} = \frac{2/3}{1/3} = \frac{2}{1}. \]

Local volume fluctuations, non-linear stretching, and coordinate transformations leave the ratio preserved. Smooth spatial transformations cannot tear the boundary or leak information across the observational frame. The full derivation is in diffeomorphism invariance.

6 · The empirical return

Everything in this manual's geometric section is unconditional — no measurement enters. The tags reflect that: every value carries Derived until Step 2 pins it to a measured baseline. The frame-invariance is what allows the dimensionless engine to be applied to any frame without recomputation: the invariants are the same on every manifold.

When a real application is run, the geometric layer stays Derived, the pinning parameters carry Frame-Conditioned, and the calibrated outputs carry Fitted. The three tags together are what make every value in the framework directly checkable: a reader knows exactly which layer any number belongs to. That is the empirical return at the level of the frame-invariant math.
