Introduction
The Focospectralics framework is a conservation accounting rule for observational science. It does not claim new physics, new particles, or new forces. It claims only this: every embedded observer is bounded by a 1/3 perceptual asymptote, and the other 2/3 of the system is conserved in the inverse cone. The framework provides a geometric and information-theoretic language for locating that 2/3 in existing data.
The framework is empirical at every step. Its inputs are measured values. Its outputs are measured values. Its intermediate steps are geometry, thermodynamics, and information theory applied to those measurements. It requires only that conservation holds and that the observer's bound is respected.
This page is the operational entry point. The framework's foundational statement — what it is, what it does, what it is not — is in the quick reference and in the Overview. This manual picks up from there and describes the operational discipline: how the four-step lock runs, why each step exists, and how the framework returns every result to classical, measured language.
1 · The two operations
The framework applies to existing telemetry in two directions, depending on what the measurement shows.
| Mode | Trigger | Operation |
|---|---|---|
| Mode A — frame reconciliation | Two independent measurements of the same system disagree. | The disagreement is treated as a projection between observer frames. The projection factor is a geometric invariant derived from the apex angle. Both measurements are correct; they are projections of one underlying value. |
| Mode B — sub-threshold recovery | A measurement produces a deficit — missing signal, unexplained variance, unread capacity. | The deficit is treated as the conserved complement of the observer's aperture. The geometry predicts where in the existing data the missing information resides. Targeted search coordinates are generated for archival mining. |
Both modes return to measured values. Mode A returns a projected value in the observer's frame. Mode B returns recovered coordinates in the archive being mined. Neither mode invents new physics or claims unmeasured entities.
2 · The operational discipline
Every application of the framework runs through the same four steps, in order. Inverting them, skipping one, or applying them out of order produces a result that is not a framework result.
| Step | Action | What enters | Status tag |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pure geometric initialization | The dimensionless invariants: θ = 70.5288°, S₊ = 1/3, S₋ = 2/3, partition ratio 2.000000. No empirical content. | Derived |
| 2 | Empirical boundary pinning | The measured baselines: aperture, epoch, archive, thermal environment. Every parameter bound to a named, published source. | Frame-Conditioned |
| 3 | Thermodynamic aperture coupling | The calibration that maps the declared frame onto the geometric engine. The Landauer floor and Planck ceiling enter here. | Fitted |
| 4 | Operational mode selection | Mode A or Mode B. Whichever direction the reading runs, the output returns to measured values in classical language. | Derived · Fitted |
The four-step lock is the framework's operational spine. Every manual in this section describes one portion of the sequence. The manual that follows (01 · Embedded observer) states why the sequence is necessary. The manuals that follow that build each step out in full.
3 · The empirical return
Every application of the framework ends the same way: the result is
expressed in classical names, classical units, and a status tag that
closes to R = 1.0000. This is the framework's bounding
rule — the Collapse Axiom applied at the operational level.
A claim about empirical reality is testable only when it is anchored to something observable. The framework makes no claim that cannot be expressed in measured terms. Whatever the mode, whichever dataset, whichever frame: the result comes back to a value someone can check against their own measurements.
4 · Reading the manual
The manual section runs in order. Each page is self-contained but builds on the previous ones.
- 01 · Embedded observer — the conceptual foundation. Why the bound exists and why it is empirical rather than metaphysical.
- 02 · Frame-invariant mathematics — the epistemic ground and the operational protocol.
- 03 · Pure mathematical engine — the dimensionless geometry that governs Steps 1–2.
- 04 · Thermodynamic bridge — the physical limits and coupling that govern Step 3.
- 05 · Cosmology & data mining — the applied demonstrations of Step 4 in both modes.
- 06 · AI system prompt — the machine-readable form of the framework's discipline.
- 07 · Computational tool suite — the primitives that implement the operational protocol.
